GrindspaceXL is a startup accelerator program supported by Invest Ottawa and Innovation Park in Kingston, Ontario. The program is a 12-week mentor-guided journey through all aspects of starting up a business. For Rillea Technologies, this program laid all the business pieces on the table. From legal, intellectual property, accounting, venture capital and insurance information to customer discovery, developing a minimum viable product, sales, marketing, pitching and branding your business, companies are guided by mentors who have successfully started up their own businesses and have mentored many others. While learning from ones mistakes is valuable, it is faster to learn from the mistakes of others and be guided to “what works” if your goal is an efficient and lean startup.
Entrance to the program is via application and pitch competition and runs out of Innovation Park in Kingston during the Fall months. This program is well worth the time for those with lean startup goals.
Rillea Technologies was thrilled to accept the special GrindspaceXL graduation prize of a one week executive leadership training course with the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University.
