In 2016, the World Health Organization declared that sound management of chemicals and waste was essential to achieving the 17 sustainable development goals (SDG).

Government of Ontario Launching New Illness & Disease Prevention Strategy

The Government of Ontario has announced the launch of a new illness and disease prevention strategy, including appointing Dr. Paul Demers, Director of the Occupational Cancer Research Centre in Ontario, to conduct a review of occupational cancer. Watch Dr. Demers’ Nachemson Memorial Lecture on preventing occupational disease and learn about why more hazard/exposure surveillance is needed in the workplace.
