The City of Quinte West is now ahead of the curve in terms of dealing with chemicals in the workplace thanks to software developed by Belleville-based Rillea Technologies Inc.
Lisa and Rob Hallsworth of Rillea, chemical engineers with more than 60 years of experience in high risk chemical manufacturing, appeared before Quinte West council Monday night to recognize the city for its work toward reaching the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals for 2030.
“We are honoured to receive SDG pins from Rillea Technologies,” said Vaughan. “The college is committed to being an institutional model of sustainability. Minimizing our collective impact on the environment is central to our operations and threaded throughout the college’s academic programming. We encourage our students to think sustainably and to make a positive difference that will have an impact today, as well as in the future.
