Rillea Technologies would like to congratulate our CEO, Lisa Hallsworth, who has been named one of Canada’s top 40 women in safety in 2021!
“It’s such an honour to be named among this esteemed group of women, especially in 2021 when the profile of workplace safety has taken on a whole new meaning,” says Hallsworth. “Many safety professionals are applied scientists. That means we are constantly learning and applying new knowledge to protect our colleagues in their work environments. The accelerated learning about workplace safety, triggered by the evolving pandemic, has exhausted many in my chosen field and I’d like to take this opportunity to recognize these unsung heros!”
Hallsworth has been recognized for her leadership in improving workplace chemical safety through her company’s development of a software platform called SDS RiskAssist. The platform not only enables employers to efficiently maintain their WHMIS SDS management but it pulls critical information from those safety data sheets in the form of data and matches this data to regulations. Through the intuitive user interface, employers can easily “see” their regulatory obligations, and implement control measures so that employees gain clear and consistent 1-page safety briefs about how to safely manage their workplace chemicals. Employers can also use the platform to assess their chemical products with comparable alternatives on a hazards basis, to see if there are safer alternatives.
